What is eWPS?
eWPS is a software solution that enables the remote collection, transfer, access and management of data using Personal Digital Assistants (PDAs) running Windows Mobile or Palm Operating Systems, and existing IT infrastructure and the Internet.
- Data Collection – remote staff can collect data into customized PDA applications. In addition to text and numbers, eWPS enables the collection of GPS, electronic signatures, bar code scanning and more.
- Data Transfer – eWPS enables the secure transfer of information between PDAs and office systems without requiring access to a computer. This data can be sent to existing office systems or managed in eWPS web applications. The handheld applications on the PDA can be updated remotely saving valuable time typically required to collect hardware and update software.
- Information Access and Management – data collected on PDAs can be accessed, edited and approved in “real time” via the internet using standard or custom reports. Data residing in office-based systems can be sent to PDAs for reference or updating.
